This novel's cover is composed of a grid of bougainvillea petals and a single van. In this modular design, the more saturated petals represent the long and hard path that Alda, the main character of the book, had to endure to find the happily ever after she was searching for.
Who would've known it all started with a van?

This poetry collection intimately unveils the author's inner world, laying bare her feelings, desires, and insecurities. Each poem offers a direct invitation into her mind, where the ephemeral nature of time and its lingering shadows take center stage.
Cartas A Mi Hijo No Nacido.

While navigating a long journey of infertility treatments, Misha decides to pen letters to preserve her memories. "Cartas A Mi Hijo No Nacido" is a collection capturing the multifaceted nature of the emotions she confronts, intertwined with intense, vulnerable, complex, and genuine experiences.
My design for this book cover centers around a floral rendering of a uterus, a deliberate choice to embody both the author's challenges with infertility and her underlying hope and love. The careful selection of each flower ensures a meaningful representation of Misha's personal journey. The inclusion of bees serves a dual purpose: a nod to her beekeeping and a subtle visual metaphor for fertility. To further enhance the memoir's intimate nature, Misha herself handwrote the title, which was then scanned for the cover, creating a direct and personal connection with the reader.
To further immerse the reader in Misha's personal journey, I designed an interior mosaic pattern. Each tile within this design serves as a visual representation of a meaningful part of her life: the house she and her husband built, her passion for music, her beloved dog Chloe (akin to a child), her beekeeping work, her and her husband's tango (their origin story), the symbolic flowers, and the deeply personal image of a pregnancy test.
